You Are the Creator of Your Own Destiny

I'm sure many of you wonder HOW I fit a normal life into my rather busy schedule. And the answer it pretty simple: It isn't easy. I struggle, often. Day in and day out I find myself exhausted and fighting with myself to find the motivation I need to check off everything on my to-do list (it's always a mile long).

At this point in my life I'm dealing with the daily struggle.

I struggle to even get out of bed most mornings as my alarm clock usually gets snoozed twice. I struggle even more to shower each day. And getting cute? Hah! Don't even go there.

But I've realized something very important the past few days. It's important to struggle. I NEED this, I basically thrive from this. Because if I'm not struggling, then I'm not doing enough. I'm 21 years old. I haven't chosen my career, and maybe I never will. I work hard and I try my best to love each and every person the most I can. I try to give my sweet furbabies 10 minutes each morning and 10 minutes each night before bed to simply cuddle and kiss them. I try my best to hangout with Jordan for at least 30 minutes each evening. It isn't a lot, I know that. But it isn't easy for me, either.

Do I wish I could just take a weekend off and do nothing every once in awhile? Sure. But when I get more than one day off at a time I find myself completely and utterly bored. I have to keep busy! I need to stay motivated to build a future for myself.

All this ridiculous business isn't going to be around forever. It's simply a sacrifice for my own future. I'm often asked, "Why do you work four jobs? Do you need to? Does your husband not work?" And that's so frustrating to me. Because my answer is this: No, I do not NEED to work four jobs. My husband is a Marine who makes decent money. I choose to work four jobs because I want a bright future for myself and for my future children. I choose to work four jobs because I expect great things of myself.

And still, people don't understand. Most never will.

My message is this: whatever it is that motivates you each and every day to be the best you or to reach whatever goals you may have, don't let anyone stop you. Don't even let others question you. You'll find struggles along the way, just as I do each day, but one day it will all pay off.

Bangerz Review

Let me start by saying, PLEASE don't judge me. I am a huge "hater" of Miley's. I do not in any way support her lifestyle or the way she carries herself. And I'm really not a fan of much of her music (love her Hannah stuff still).  My husband got tickets for FREE so we decided why not. Also, I'm beyond sick right now, but I HAVE to have this posted today, just to let you all know how crazy it was!

So, the concert was supposed to begin at 7:00, but we thought there were 2 openers so assumed she wouldn't be on until around 9:00- so we didn't get there until 8:45. Apparently we missed about 4 songs, but I'm pretty sure we didn't miss anything "good."

As we walked into the forum I heard singing and 100% thought it was a man... it was Miley. We got to our seats and as she is singing "Adore You" (I've never heard this song) the camera is going around taking footage of girls kissing girls everywhere. So weird. And inappropriate. And weird. And this is of course after I've argued with a group of 6 girls that they were in our seats (her fans are NUTS).

After this I can't really remember what order her songs went. But plenty of other really weird things happened. At one point there were a lot of humans dressed in colorful furry animal costumes twerking and such.

Other strange dancers consisted a group of black women who wore only black thongs but had their legs painted red and white- I think. They were dancing to "23" while Miley twerked along and managed to rap even the Juicy J parts.

At one point she moved to the center stage that is located in the middle of the forum and took an Instagram video of all of her fans so they would, "get off their cell phones and pay attention."  She then continued her performance there by singing a cover of Bob Dylan's "It Ain't Me Babe." Just slightly different from her normal singing "style." She then followed this cover by another cover: Dolly Parton's "Jolene." THIS was my favorite part. She did AMAZING. I loved the entire song SO SO much! Definitely different, but it made my entire night seem worth being there.

OH! And she road a giant wiener. She hopped on this giant hot dog that was covered in a bun and rode it up in the sky while still singing. This was obviously entirely irrelevant to her music, but her fans went insane.

Finally it was time for her closing song, Wrecking Ball. The first line sounded good... then she stopped for the second. And instead of singing the third she just said, "Oops, I spaced out." WHAT. Must have been the Molly, or whatever drugs she uses these days.

But of course as soon as she exits the stage half of the fans sprinted outside. The other half, however, began to chant: "USA!, USA!, USA!, USA!, USA!" And at this point I'm finding myself to be super angry. I'm thinking, "Miley Cyrus is not something you chant USA about. She is not a worthy figure to represent our country. How dare you all."

And suddenly it makes sense...

She rises back up on stage to sing It's A Party in the USA! So, I'm obviously pretty excited until I realize she's still dressed terribly terrible (everything was showing most of the night) and even halfway through the song she randomly rapped a bit. So that was weird. And at the very end the camera zooms in on her face, and she smiles a HUGE smile. Why, you may ask, why does this matter? Because she's wearing the fake "hillbilly" teeth you get in a child's playroom along with a wig similar to the one she wore in Hannah Montana. She was practically mocking her old self, and right here, I felt terribly sad for her.

Who hates who they are enough to make fun of themselves? Nobody hated Miley Cyrus when she was Hannah Montana, except for Miley Cyrus apparently. She changed who she was 100% to avoid being the sweet, southern girl she was raised to be.

Totally besides the point, though. Overall the concert was MUCH better than what I anticipated. Anybody who was a Miley Cyrus fan last night loved every second, she just isn't my style in anyway, so I'm pretty biased. Jordan (my husband) and I had a really good time though! I'm glad we went and got to experience something so outside our lifestyle.

Here are some pictures:

One of her MANY outfits

Jord kept acting like he was going to throw me over to her, ahh!

Half of our group!

Hope you all enjoyed! It's something I'd definitely recommend doing if it were free. And also something I'd recommend never spending money on haha.

Happy First Day of Spring!

Once more, Spring has arrived! I know it's still rather chilly in many parts of the country, but here in sunny Florida we are feeling WONDERFUL with a high of 77 today, thank goodness! And my fingers are crossed that warm weathers makes it way to everyone else sooner than later!

On this beautiful Spring day I have found myself pretty ill, though. I missed school this morning in hopes of sleeping my sickness away, but unfortunately I've had no luck.

However, I'm not letting it get me down! Because today is also International Day of Happiness! So today, in between naps I've been very productive (: I fixed our garage door that has been "broken" all week- it only needed a hidden outlet to be reset. Which is awesome, because I was moments away from calling an electrician to come out, which I'm sure would have cost me an arm and a leg just to have them look.

And more importantly our pool is almost ready! We let it go over the winter months and only a week ago hired a pool guy to get it all clean for us. It's officially blue, just has a little algae in the bottom that needs vacuumed up! Yay (:

Lastly, I've began my Spring cleaning! & I'm going to share my checklist with you! If you haven't started, it's definitely not too late, Spring has just arrived (: I'm sure I've missed some things, but it's a good start!

In addition to the list below I think starting a garden outside & adding plants inside the home is a super cute touch of Spring along with adding Spring candles/Scentsy warmers (I just ordered the egg one today!)

Our Night(s) Out!

Jordan & I seriously NEVER go out! Mostly we just find ourselves too busy to do so, but also going to the bars and clubs definitely isn't our thing! But we've had a crazy busy week with lots of events happening, so I thought I'd share.

For Valentine's Day I bought us 2 tickets to see Aziz Ansari at the Mahaffey theatre this past Sunday. It was a BLAST! I didn't plan on getting the tickets, I just stumbled upon them and they were general admission price ($38 each with taxes) so I didn't expect anything fancy. We were in the 3rd row in the orchestra pit! I could practically touch Aziz, though I'd definitely get kicked out. It was so cool and he was hilarious~

But seriously, the show didn't even start until 10 p.m. and it was about a 45 minute drive. We didn't make it home until almost 2 a.m. & I had mid-terms only 6 short hours later. Needless to say I was completely drained and you definitely won't find me bragging about my test grade.

So I felt exhausted all the way through class on Monday and thankfully we got out a little early, so as soon as I got home I crashed. I took a 3 hour nap, but still didn't feel much better. I forced myself to shower and get ready because we bought tickets to the Lightning game for that night (we really didn't realize we'd get home so late the night before).

We stopped for drinks at my favorite "bar" in Channelside, Wet Willie's. They have alcoholic slushy drinks that are AMAZING. My favorite is the Sour Apple if you ever get to go! Plus for St.Patty's Day they gave us free beads and had all kinds of green beer, shots, etc.

Then made our way to the game!

We had so much fun with all of our friends and the Lightning won, woot woot!

But this isn't the end of our adventurous week- we're seeing MILEY CYRUS in concert tomorrow -__-

I'm terrified to even attend this concert in fear that I will be miserable. I am not a fan of hers and I do not support the way she carries herself or lives her life. However, the tickets were free & all of our friends are going so I'm hoping it won't be terrible. Besides, I like a couple of her songs (literally two). I'll let you all know how it goes, wish me luck!

I hope you all are having a wonderful week! Has anyone else has a crazy fun/exhausting week? If so, what all have you done?!

Some Days Simply Require A Big Mac

How: weird, true, absurd, food-detailed or flat out gross, you may be thinking.

If true, well, you and I could be best friends. If anything else, then we're probably only a little different. For you, it may be the heap of chocolate ice-cream completely coated in chocolate syrup or the biggest box of chocolates made by Esther Price. But for me, it's a Big Mac. And a large fry. With a large sweet tea. That is exactly what my day required.

Here's to hoping my insides feel a little (lot) better tomorrow. And maybe I can throw some motivation your way. I have some pretty exciting things happening in the very near future both work & personal life related!

Also, little shout out to my hubby for picking up that Big Mac for me on his way home (: He doesn't read my blog, but I appreciate him more than he knows <3

Good night, loves!

Hello 6 AM, So We Meet Again

I can't be the only one who has felt this has been the LONGEST week ever. Tell me you're all right there with me, please? I need this reassurance because I feel like I'm losing my mojo.

After arriving home from work at 12:30 a.m. this morning I set my alarm which read I'd receive a whopping 5 hours & 14 minutes of sleep if I fell asleep at that moment. If you were wondering, I didn't. So 4.5 short hours later I awoke to my alarm vibrating off the nightstand. Bzzzzzzzzzzz, thump.

"Ugh," I thought. I got up anyways, with thoughts that my day would be nothing more than a disaster  as I quickly decided to skip a shower. Gross, I know. I snatched my "work" bag and purse and dashed out the door. My body ached something terrible through class as the rain outside drenched everything it could reach. "Seriously, bad day," I kept thinking to myself. But then, things changed. Quickly.

I heard someone ask me for a catalog across the room. She placed an order. I walked across the street to deliver some previous orders all packaged and bowed- 3 other people placed an order. From school I met a bar customer of mine to give him his order- he then placed another order. And right in this moment I realized something.

Life is spectacular. I mean, I of course already knew that. But today especially I needed to be reminded just how spectacular things can be. I wasn't thankful for waking up this morning, I was a selfish brat who was upset that it was raining because my back ached a bit. There are so many people who don't have the opportunity to wake up each day and GET to go to school, and worse, many who don't have roofs to take cover from the rain. And yet, even with my poor morning attitude my day turned out to be great. This makes me more than thankful for the life I have and the opportunities I'm privileged to have each day.

Hey, Over Here!

First of all, thanks for taking time to see my page! Now, straight to business.

I wanted to begin this new chapter in my life with a small introduction of myself and who I am. Part of my life is pretty interesting (well, sort of) but mostly I'm a pretty normal person. I'm 21 years old (as of two weeks ago), I'm a full-time college student (20-25 hours per week), I have a super cute puppy (Carmelo) and precious kitten (Zelda). And my husband is a pretty super guy also- I consider myself one lucky lady!

But then things kind of get weird. I have FOUR jobs, yes four. I've been working since I was 14 years old and ever since I've LOVED it. I literally can't get enough of being a busy bee (B)! I keep two full calendars on my fridge at all times and now I've decided to blog a bit because why not! And of course all the hard work has really seemed to pay off! I bought my first house when I was 19- my most exciting accomplishment so far. So as for my blog name, well, I think you've got it by now right? (:

I don't have much spare time, but when I do I'm usually playing with my animals, watching sports, laying out by our pool or shopping- I'm REALLY good at that (: Oh & lastly I'm a current resident of beautiful and sunny Brandon, FL!
